Kathmandu Chitwan and Lumbini Tour

One of our team welcomes you at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. Then you drive to the hotel. You attend the briefing program in the evening. Our tour manager will shortly brief the program, introduce your tour guide and address your needs too. 

Today is a sightseeing day around Kathmandu Valley. You start the tour after having breakfast at the hotel. You drive in a private vehicle with your tour guide for sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley. You visit four places which are listed in the world heritage sites. Swayambhunath is known as Monkey Temple, Patan Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, a Hindu shrine and Boudhanath stupa.  

After breakfast at the hotel, you walk to the tourist bus station to take a bus to Chitwan National Park for Safari. The journey is 6-7 hours through villages, terraces and rivers. You also see the mountains on the drive. After checking in at the hotel in Chitwan, your nature guide explains the programme and takes you for a village walk in the afternoon. You go to watch a Tharu cultural dance program in the evening, the stick fire dance and peacock dance are very famous. 

Today you have a full day in Chitwan for jungle activities and see the wild animals, especially one-horn rhino. Your nature guide leads for jungle walks, cannoning and an elephant breeding centre. In the afternoon, you do an elephant back safari inside the jungle. 

After breakfast at the hotel, the nature guide drops you at the bus station to catch a bus to go to Lumbini. The journey is very beautiful and 4 hours to reach Lumbini. Once you reach Lumbini, check-in at the hotel and rest. You will be taken for a sightseeing tour in the afternoon. 

Today you visit the famous places in Lumbini. Lumbini is the birthplace of Lord Buddha. It is one of the world's most important spiritual sites and attractions for  Buddhist pilgrims from all over the world. You visit around twenty-five Buddhist monasteries built by diverse countries from Vietnam to France and the sacred Mayadevi Temple and Gardens.

You drive to Kathmandu by tourist bus from Lumbini. It is about 9-10 hour's drive. Check-in at the hotel in Kathmandu and rest. You have free afternoon and evening by yourself. You can explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, Thamel and go shopping for souvenir. 

Saying goodbye is always hard, especially when you get the taste of this wonderful Himalayan nation. Our airport representative will assist you with checking out of the hotel and dropping you at the Kathmandu airport for your flight home.
