In the initial days of Naya Kanga peak climbing in Nepal, you'll follow the popular Langtang Valley Trek route. The trail ascends through lush forests of bamboo, oak, and rhododendron. This is our standard and recommended Itinerary for Naya Kanga Peak Climbing in Nepal.
You will meet with our airport representative at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Upon your arrival, he will be waiting outside the arrival terminal gate. After a warm welcome, he will take you to the hotel.
You meet our manager in the evening to brief the program, settle the payment, introduce your guide, check your belongings, and address your needs.
Today, after breakfast, you drive to Syabrubesi. From here, you begin trekking towards the base of Nayakang Peak. The drive is soothing and gorgeous. Lush green hills, terraced fields, small villages, and rivers accompany us during the drive.
You begin trekking from Syabrubesi and come across the Bhote Koshi River. Gradually, you come by the banks of the Langtang River and trek through Bamboo. The trail gets rugged up to Rimche and descends to the river before you meet a gradual way to reach Lama Hotel.
From here onwards, the trail goes uphill to Gumanchowk, and you take a small break at Ghoda Tabela for lunch. Along the way, you will cross yaks and horses carrying goods. The trail gets more dusty.
You reach the picturesque Langtang village. It is an ancient village, and residents here mostly follow Buddhism.
Today, the trail continues to the famous Kyanjin Gompa, one of the significant monasteries in the Langtang region. Along the way, you'll stop by Yak Cheese Factory and taste some authentic Himalayan cheese.
The route offers a stunning mountain panorama. Upon reaching Kyanjin Gompa, you see the tremendous views of Langtang Lirung and Ganchempo.
Today, you spend the day catching your breath and resting. You go on a beautiful but challenging hike up to Tserko Ri in the morning. The trail is steep and rocky. From Tserko Ri, you can see remarkable views of mountains like Dorje Lhakpa, Ganchenmp, Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and Mt. Kang Guru.
Later in the day, you can explore the Kyanjin Gompa (Monastery) and watch monks practising their rituals.
After having a warm breakfast in Kyanjin Gompa, you begin trekking toward the Nayakang Base Camp. The trail ascends through coniferous forests and continues along the Langtang River.
You keep climbing uphill on a steep path until you reach the base camp, which may be covered in snow or grass. The crew sets up the tent and prepares the dinner.
Today, you get one step closer to the summit. You hike to the High Camp of Nayakang Peak from the base camp. The route is steep, snowy and icy. You will use climbing gears as per need. Along the way, you may cross snow-laden paths and avalanche-prone areas.
You spend the night in a tent at a high camp.
We check the weather and prepare to push towards the summit early in the morning. Crossing the snowy terrain, you may fight with the strong wind. The initial climb involves walking through boulders and snow. The route gets steeper as we approach the summit.
From the summit, you see breathtaking views of the snow-capped Himalayan mountains. You'll feel like you're standing in the clouds. After spending some time here, you descend to the base camp for the night.
Before leaving base camp, we clean it and pack all our waste. The trail follows the same path back to Kyanjin Gompa. It'll be a long descent, so bare your knees. The landscapes, while dropping down, are phenomenal.
After breakfast, you follow the same route back to Lama Hotel. Trekking along the Langtang River, you pass by lush forests and small settlement areas, crossing lovely waterfalls and bridges.
Enjoy the walk, as it is the last day of the trek. From Lama Hotel, you descend to villages like Rimche and Bamboo. You take a small lunch break in Pahiro and trek through forested paths to Syabrubesi.
Today, you drive back to Kathmandu on a local bus. Enjoy the gorgeous landscapes on the way. It is your last day in Kathmandu, so take your time in the evening to explore Thamel and shop.
As the trip ends, it's time to return to your home. Our airport representatives will assist you in the checkout and bid you our last goodbyes.
