The Trisuli River originates from a high mountain lake called Gosaikunda, where the water flows down with great speed. According to our myth, it is said that the river was created by God Shiva, the highest-ranking Hindu god. God Shiva thronged his Trident (Trisul) into the rocky mountain of Gosaikunda and became a river named Trisuli.

The Trisuli River is easily accessible from the Kathmandu Valley, flowing by the side of the Mahindra Highway. The starting point for Trisuli river rafting is Charaudi.
