Nepal’s best trekking routes in Monsoon season

Nepal has a vast diversity in geography. We have some routes for adventure trekking in Monsoons such as Dolpo region and the Mustang region.

Nepal, a well-known country in Himalayas and Nature beauty, has two main seasons; Dry Season and Wet season. October to May is the Dry Season and June to September is Monsoon Season. Nepal is one of the popular destinations for adventure travel. Autumn (September to November) and Spring (March to May) are the best time to visit the country for all adventure outdoor activities. During this period, many trekkers, and adventure lovers do adventure trekking as well as day hiking, rafting, paragliding, safaris, etc and Mountaineers climb the highest peaks of the World including Mount Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, Kanchanjunga, Ama Dablam and various small peaks.

Normally, most of the tourists come in the dry season because it is right after finished the monsoon, the countryside is green and lush, the air is sparkling clean and the Himalayas are perfect to see. Very less people visit the country during Monsoon time. We all know the reason. Monsoon means raining every day which creates hard to walk, no views because of hazy and cloudy. Although there are many reasons why people don’t want to travel during Monsoon, we are focusing on some of the adventures in Nepal, which can be more beautiful during Monsoon time only. Nepal has a vast diversity in geography. We have some routes for adventure trekking in Monsoons such as the Dolpo region and the Mustang region. These areas are perfect to visit in Monsoon because we get very less rain. Also, rafting would be more adventurous in Monsoon than the dry season because the rapid in a river is very high and risky too.

In Dolpo Region, there are two main routes for trekking i.e. Upper Dolpo Trekking and Lower Dolpo trekking. This unbeaten and unspoiled trekking offers a spectacular view of the Himalayas, high altitude settlements and incredible landscape, and Lower Dolpo Trekking.

In Mustang Region, Upper Mustang Trekking offers the spectacular kali Gandaki village, centuries-old monasteries, and the royal palace at Lo-Manthang, unspoiled villages, and a culture, similar landscape to Tibet.
