Family Tour in Nepal
A short twenty-five-minute flight takes you to the beautiful city of Pokhara, known as the city of lakes. After getting refreshed, it's time for you to relax around the lake and marvel at the ice-clad peaks towering above you. You leave Pokhara to embark on a beautiful four-day trek into the foothills of the Annapurna Region. You trek up to Ghorepani Poon Hill. Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is an ideal family trek. It is one of Nepal's shortest and easiest treks for families and children. It is set on a beautiful trail through lush sub-tropical forests rich with wildlife, pretty villages, and neatly terraced hillsides. It is famous for its spectacular Himalayan panoramas, especially the sunrise over the Himalayas from Poon Hill. It is an easy trek, ideal for families, and a great introduction to trekking and mountain cultures. On your return to Pokhara the next day, there is a guided sightseeing and cultural tour around Pokhara. You hike up to the World Peace Pagoda, one of the best viewpoints from which to see the Fewa Lake and Pokhara Valley. The panoramic views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna Range, and Manaslu Range are marvellous. You drive to Sauraha from Pokhara to experience jungle activities and wild animals in Chitwan National Park. You spend two nights in Chitwan National Park, participating in jungle activities. The activities are elephant back safaris, canoe trips, jungle walks, and bird watching with cultures.
Then, after completing our 12-day family tour in Nepal, you return to Kathmandu. In the evening, you attend the farewell dinner organized by Nepal Gateway Trekking. The following day, we transport you to Kathmandu airport.
Before The Family Tour Starts
Our 12-day Family Tour in Nepal package includes two nights of accommodation in Kathmandu before the trip starts. On the second day in Kathmandu, you will do a one-day sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu Valley. Our expert tour guide leads you to visit four places listed in the World Heritage Sites. The time also allows us to sort out the Annapurna Conservation Permits. You meet your trekking guide in the afternoon and check the equipment.
These two days in Kathmandu provide an opportunity to adjust and settle into Nepal. A visit to the local bazaar (local market) and the many vibrant, colourful markets is recommended. You also have time to purchase any items needed for the trek. There are some branded shops like North Face and Mountain Hardware. Besides these, many other shops sell trekking gear of very acceptable quality at a much lower price.
