Langtang Gosaikunda Laurebina Pass Trek is one of the best itineraries to explore the wonders of the Langtang and Helambu regions. It's an incredibly adventurous trek to the ancient Kyanjing Gompa and the holy Gosainkunda Lake. The trail goes through beautiful valleys and dense woodland. You'll be trekking in Langtang National Park, so expect encounters with animals and birds.

Langtang Trek with Gosaikunda Lake and Helambu lets you meet with indigenous people and explore the lush rhododendron forests, fine mountain villages, a high alpine lake, and a Himalayan pass. You explore two beautiful regions, Langtang and Helambu, on this 15 days adventurous trek.

The rich Langtang Tamang heritage culture and tradition add more essence to the Langtang Gosaikunda Lauribina Pass trekking. Tamangs are one of the early settlers of the Langtang region and are believed to be descendants of Tibetans. Their norms, values, and practices are similar to those of Tibetans. Apart from Tamangs, Sherpas are the other inhabitants of the Langtang region. While trekking, you'll across many chortens, prayer wheels, stupas, prayer flags, and mani walls. Upon crossing the Laurebina pass (4,681 m), you enter the Helambu region, where you'll meet Hyolmos (also an indigenous group).

Kyanjin Gompa and Shig Gompa are the two ancient and most important religious sites for the locals in the Langtang region. They are located at 3,860 m and 3,330 m, respectively. As the name of the package says, the trek leads you to the pristine and holy Gosaikunda Lake, situated at 3,860 m. It is a holy lake and a pilgrimage site, visited by hundreds of pilgrims every year (especially in August during Janai Purnima). The lake is believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva and his wife Parvati per Hindu mythology.

Altitude Sickness during Langtang Gosaikunda Lauribina Pass Trek

Also known as acute mountain sickness, altitude sickness is a common illness travellers face during trekking in the Himalayas. Usually, symptoms like headache, shortness of breath, insomnia, loss of appetite, nausea, and fatigue can be seen in the body. Most of the time, medicine and some rest help to subside the symptoms. • A Fantastic Adventure

The Langtang Gosaikunda Lauribina Pass Trek was the trip we did and it was the most rewarding experience I have had, it was very enduring with a lot of altitude gain and moderate to rough terrain. The outlook is a blend of stunning scenery mixing endless snow-capped mountains, deep forested valleys visiting cute timeless villages. Staying in authentic tea houses hosted by beautiful people made the end of each days journey a delight. This holiday was certainly the adventure of a lifetime for me I enjoyed the entire journey and we are planning a return trip. We had a fantastic adventure led by Raj back with Biru. I highly recommend Raj and Nepal Gateway Trekking, they are very welcoming, lovely people to be friends with and a very professional well-run company.
