  • Mesmerizing Adventure

A friend of mine had been using Raj and his colleagues for 11yrs trekking in Nepal. When I decided to visit Nepal again I didn't hesitate to reach out to Raj to get some help with a few trekking itineraries. From the very first email communication to the pickup on arrival at the airport it was a great experience. Good communication and assistance every step of the way.

Had an amazing trip in the Everest Region (three passes trek), I saw so much and experienced the food, culture, and friendly nature of locals and guide me along the whole journey. Nepal Gateway Trekking crew was so nice and full of knowledge. I learned so much from them, such a fun trip. Would definitely do it again. Cherished memories.

Thank you, Raj and the team. Hope to see you again soon.

  • Awesome Annapurna circuit hike, great company

My girlfriend and I did the Annapurna circuit hike in May with Nepal Gateway Trekking. It was awesome!

When organizing the trip we had the chance to ask anything we wanted and make sure everything was okay. Once we arrived in Nepal, we were received very well. They took the time to inform us about the itinerary and make sure that we could change whatever we wanted. They also made sure we had everything we needed. So we felt very much in control, even though they made great suggestions.

Once the trip started our guide (Ramchandra Godar) took care of everything. He gave great advice about food, clothing, and anything else, and made sure we were alright every step of the way. We also enjoyed playing card games and just talking a lot with him!

All in all this was definitely one of the coolest experiences that we've ever had. And Nepal Gateway Trekking played a very important part in this. Thanks so much!!

  • Trekking to Gokyo Lake

This past December, I had the chance to go to Nepal with my dad for his 50th birthday. Upon arrival at the Kathmandu international airport, we were greeted by our guide DB. He was not only our guide he was also are doctor, chef, comedian, ... and our friend. When we arrived at Lukla the well-known airport 😯 we met our new friend and porter Sujan. If you ever meet him don’t hesitate to ask him about his waterproof shoes and the techniques to sliding in the Himalayan(😂😂). Throughout our trek, DB explains the cultural elements of the Nepal people but he also entertains us with dancing at Gokyo lake, jokes around the fire at night, sliding in the Himalayas with a garbage bag, the names of all the high peaks, and much more. Unfortunately, when we got to Phadking I was all stuffed up but DB had a trick up his sleeve he gave me his local medicine which helped a lot. DB showed us the way to Gokyo and we had incredible views of Everest, the biggest glacier of the Himalayas, and the lakes. When we got back to Kathmandu we had a week left in Nepal so my dad and I decided we wanted to do the Poonhil trek. We had a pretty special bus ride to Pokhara with the traffic and sharp turns. The Poonhill sunrise was beautiful. When we finished our trek we went back to Pokhara and celebrated New Year with DB, his Uncle, and the thousands of Nepal people. We had a great time. Throughout our trip, DB made sure we were not hungry, cold and made sure we had fun. Thanks again DB and Sujanfor the trip of a lifetime! Thank you Raj and Ram for ensuring the logistics of our trip was flawless! Can’t wait to be back in a few years to complete the four passes! See you again DB...

  • Great trekking to Annapurna base camp

The people of Nepal gateway were very welcoming from the very beginning by picking us up in the airport. They were very open and friendly providing information not only about our planned trek but also in general about Nepal. In our case, we did not have much time to plan and book stuff. They surprised us with the hotels they booked for us. The trekking plan was perfect, neither too demanding nor too easy. They took us through nice trails, we even got lucky too see a couple of white monkeys jump behind us. They adviced on the good spots and times to get up for sunrise photos. They also provided alternatives in case we wanted to stay longer at a spot or do in a different way. They were there when needed and also gave us our space to explore alone. For the way down, they planned a great stay next to a hot spring. This felt really good after all the hard work. All together, it was an amazing adventure and we shared a lot of these moments with the people of Nepal gateway. We will definitely get in touch with them in our next visit to Nepal.

  • Trip of a lifetime

I organized my trekking with Nepal gateway trekking after reading some good reviews online. I emailed them what I was interested in doing and they put together a suitable itinerary. I communicated mainly with Raj. They organized everything I needed - guide/porter and flight tickets so that I could do Everest base camp via Gokyo lakes. The guide was excellent (Nir Kumar). Everything was organized very well. I found them to be very trustworthy, and they communicated very well. Highly recommended!

  • Trekking to Anapurna Base Camp -12 days

Had a wonderful time at ABC with Ram as a trekking guide. In the beginning, we met Rajendra who helped us on the way and introduced Kathmandu. We enjoyed every moment and we experienced it was fun together and safer. Because of tiredness I almost fell and Ram held me down. I also had some knee troubles which he helped me with.
We enjoyed Nepal to the max and had nothing to worried about thanks too Rajendra and Ram!

  • A Trip to Cherish. Wonderful.

I have just returned from 6 fantastic weeks in Nepal, and owe a huge thank you to Raj at NepalGatewayTrekking for helping to make it such a wonderful trip. Traveling alone, I had a quite challenging itinerary which included the Everest 3 Passes Trek, Hiking around Annapurna, a visit to Chitwan National Park, and a bit of adventure at the Last Resort, and a few rest days around Kathmandu and Pokhara.

Raj organized all of my accommodation and transport. He ensured I had guides whenever I needed them. He answered all of my questions (and there were many) with the utmost professionalism and spared no effort at all in making sure I always had the right information to be where I needed to be - which is no mean feat considering the remoteness of parts of Nepal.

On a couple of spare days towards the end of my trip, I also got to know Raj a little more on a personal level on a trek with him and his family. This was a real privilege and a memory that I will truly treasure.

I will be returning to Nepal as soon as I get the chance as there are so many things I would still like to see and do, and I will no doubt be asking Raj and his team for assistance when the time comes.
    until then - Peri bhetaula.

  • At the age of 78, trek to Everest base camp

After having two new knees in 2007, my friend Jo and I decided to hire Raj of Nepal Gateway Trekking to take us first on a trek to Ghorepani  Poon Hill which we successfully completed in 2010, and then the next year we trekked to EBC.  Raj was the perfect guide and saw to all our needs, even supplying hot water bottles for our sleeping bags!!! It was a fantastic trek, and the tea houses were very comfortable, food good, but unfortunately, I lost my appetite, which lots of climbers do, due to altitude. I was 68 and Raj was very proud I completed the Everest Base Camp trek. After this, we spent 3 nights in Chitwan National Park which is thoroughly recommended. To say this was the end of my trekking would be a lie, as I completed 3 more treks with Raj, one to Gokyo Lakes, and the other two again to Mt. Everest Base Camp, although the last one, at the age of 78 got too much for me and I called it a day at Dingboche and my son carried on and finished the trek. Raj and my son, Paul, collected me on the way back down.
I thoroughly recommend Nepal Gateway Trekking for an enjoyable and safe trek.
