  • Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lakes Trekking via Chola Pass

In April/May of 2014, my partner and I joined a small group of trekkers to Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lakes ( (Chola pass Trek)) with Raj as our team lead. Not only was this the most incredible trek with the most stunning scenery I have completed, but I credit our enjoyment of the trip to Raj. Raj looked after every member of the group, ensure we maintained a pace that kept us all healthy (minimizing the risk of altitude sickness!), knew our needs before we even did, and informed us along the trek so we could better appreciate what we were viewing and the culture we were visiting. Raj was flexible to our needs (itinerary, food) but always with safety first in mind! I would travel with Raj again in Nepal without a doubt and I highly recommend traveling Raj as a guide to anyone else considering one of these amazing treks he offers. You'll be in safe, knowledgeable hands as well as have a great travel companion along the journey!

  • Gokyo Lakes Trek in 2013, Annapurna Sanctuary Trek in 2014

In 2013 I joined three friends from Australia for a trek to Gokyo Lakes. Raj (Rajendra) was recommended as a reliable guide so we booked him for our trek.

Being my first organized trek in Nepal I was apprehensive on the flight to Kathmandu and had no idea what to expect.

Raj met us at the airport and immediately I was impressed with his friendly relaxed attitude which dispelled any worries that I had.

Arrangements were well organized and concern for every detail made the trek run as smoothly as possible.

On a personal level, his command of English is good, so I learned quite a lot about the natural and cultural values of the Kumbu region and we talked about our life and families in Nepal and Australia.

On returning to Australia we exchanged emails and photos.

I enjoyed the trek so much that I returned in 2014 for another trek organized and guided by Raj to Annapurna Sanctuary and Jomsom trek to Muktinath.

I thoroughly enjoyed both treks and recommend Raj as a competent and caring guide.

I consider him a good friend and I am sure we will meet again.

  • Ghorepani,Everest base camp,Gokyo valley and Chitwan Jungle Safari

I have enjoyed three great treks with Raj and would recommend him as a wonderful guide.  My first trek was to Ghorepani  Poon Hill, with my friend Jo, and after that, we went to Mt. Everest Base camp, again with Raj as a guide. Last year I went on my own with him and we were joined by a friend of Ray's, Dee and we trekked to Gokyo Lakes and Cho Oyu (although I didn’t get all the way to Base camp, instead of stopping and turning around at Gokyo. Raj is to be recommended as he takes his work very seriously.

  • Annapurna sanctuary To Jomsom Trekking

I have had the great pleasure of knowing Raj for over 10 years, having Annapurna sanctuary To Jomsom trekked with him on at least 3 occasions. Raj is a true gentleman and an extremely competent guide. He is well equipped to lead treks to many parts of Nepal on account of his extensive experience. Raj is quite a special person with a most trustworthy and caring personality. He has the highest possible ethics and always gives 110% as a leader. It gives me great pleasure to recommend Raj to potential trekkers who place value on excellent and competent leadership, and on personal qualities of a very high order. I would be happy to confirm this testimonial to individuals or groups.

  • I made a wonderful trekking tour to Everest base camp

In October 2012 I made a wonderful trekking tour to Mount Everest base camp. Our tour guide was Raj. He showed us with enthusiasm the gigantic and fantastic world of the highest mountains of the Himalayas. The tour was perfectly organized and Raj took care that every one of our group could reach their own personal aim.  With great expert knowledge, he introduced us to the mysteries of nature and the variety of cultures of his country. From Raj, I learned a lot about how the different ethnic groups in Nepal live together in a respectful and peaceful way. And he didn't teach it only but he also practiced it. For this experience, I am very thankful. So I hope I can continue my excursions in Nepal in the future... of course with Raj my tour guide.

  • My trek to Everest Base Camp was an unparalleled and life changing experience

Namaste! Raj Thapa was my guide when myself and a girlfriend completed the Everest Base Camp trek a few years ago in Nepal. Raj possesses extensive knowledge of the flora, fauna, geographical landscape and religious traditions of this beautiful region of the world and he is always more than willing to impart this knowledge on clients and friends.

Raj is extremely professional in his approach to the safety and well-being of his clients, he takes his duty of care very seriously however he knows how to have a good time and takes every opportunity to entertain his clients along the way.

My trek to Everest Base Camp was an unparalleled and life-changing experience and I attribute this not only to the wondrous beauty of the Himalayas but also to Raj and the light in which he enabled me to view the culture and customs of truly amazing destination.

    Thank you my friend!

  • Best of family tour in Nepal

Our decision to travel to Nepal actually was very spontaneous, but we never regretted about this decision. From the very first moment when we step out at Kathmandu airport, Raj made everything possible to make us feel cared about and excited.

We spent altogether 3 weeks traveling under Raj's guidance on the Anapurna trek, then living for few days in a small resort Pokhara, visiting Chitwan national park, enjoying amazing Lumbini, and finally exploring the Kathmandu area.

Raj took the best care of us, resolving unexpected issues in the best way and actually becoming our friend, with whom we still keep contact in 2 years after our trip. We certainly would like to come back to Nepal again and the only person we would trust is Raj.

We would recommend Raj as a trusted, knowledgeable, bright, and friendly person and just a very nice man!
